Why "Samurai"?
We chose the name "Samurai" more as a play on words, and to be associated with some of their famous core values.
Samurai are famous for their sword's cutting edge, extremely rigorous standards, a history of great honour and consistent performance
They carried the greatest respect in their time, and their historical legacy is recognised even today.
Infiniti Samurai discs are also cutting edge, have extremely high quality standards, are made and sold with pride, and designed to give flawless performance every time.
We wanted to convey all these principles in a single word that people would remember.
Just in case you were wondering...
What does it do?
The DVD recording device “burns” pits into the pre-formed guide track on a DVD.
The laser that reads the disc can read these pits, and write to it to store information. These pits are very, very small, and higher quality discs really do make a difference to writing, reading and longevity.
Who should buy it?
DVD are used to record so many things now, they can really be used by anyone – you can record data, music, video, games and backup on them. They really are a great robust medium that is easy to handle, low cost, and resilient in transit.
Why is it better than others?
Infiniti DVD are only ever the best grade. We have built our reputation on sheer excellence in terms of what passes our quality control tests. Many lesser brands will put a mixture of grades into the packaging to reduce costs, but Infiniti, in common with manufacturers like Verbatim and Hewlett Packard Optical Media never do that.
Put simply, we supply only the best media and take great pride in our products.
Infiniti Samurai enable you to easily identify, through the use of colour, the types of data stored on your discs.
For example, computer backups on Sunset Yellow discs, games on Savanna green discs, private on blue, and so on. Simple and effective. Many families use one colour each – no more arguments about who owns what! And for filing, archiving and easy retrieval, colour is an unbeatable way for easy identification.

How do I use it?
Your DVD writer manufacturer should provide instructions for the correct use and handling of blank optical media. It is particularly critical that the discs have no marks, fingerprints or scratches on them prior to writing. After writing, minor scratches can be removed with various scratch removing devices like the PressIt CD Repair Kit, and fingerprints can easily be wiped off.
You can also use various devices to identify your discs after writing to them, such as CD Label and DVD Label Systems, or disc-friendly marker pens.
You may find that your device could benefit from a firmware upgrade. Firmware is the controller software inside the device that tells it how to function, and upgrades can often make the device faster, more efficient, and less prone to failure. A regularly maintained list of firmware upgrades is available at Disc-Info.com.
There are also a huge number of online resources that can help with tips and hints on how to maximise the speeds you can write discs at.
The best online CD and DVD writing resources are available free of charge on the internet. You can sign up to be a registered member on some of these sites, and get regular tips directly to your mailbox.
