When you first insert the disc it will state the size at the normal size of around 700MB. You first have to make sure that your CDwriter can use the overburn facility that allows the allocation of much larger files.
If you do have this facility then you have to enable this function and you should be able to burn to the full 900MB.

Additionally, while overburning you are approaching the edge of the CD's capabilities and thus damage can be caused. Therefore sometimes the software will refuse to allow this function.
