In the case that you get an error message stating that the disc is either not a LightScribe disc, or that the data can't be read from the hub, there are a few things to check and try
Make sure that the disc is actually a LightScribe disc and you have inserted it into the machine the correct way round (Label side facing downwards)
Make sure the disc is clean and there is no dirt obscuring the bar code on the hub on the label side
Update the firmware on your drive by going to either this firmware page or the manufacturers website
Update the LightScribe System Software (LSS) by going to this page
If that doesn't solve the issue then it could be a fault in the media or a fault in the drive. We would suggest that you try the disc out in another machine, if possible, or you could try another disc to see if you get the same problems.
